The third year of the BASIS Sustainable Sport awards will take place on 7th November 2022 at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, home to the Wimbledon Championships.
The lunchtime event brings together sports clubs, sports bodies, venues and sustainability focused organisations to celebrate the fantastic sustainability projects and initiatives that are taking place across the UK and helping to harness the power of sport for a more sustainable future. To recognise the growth of the awards exciting new categories have been included for information go to BASIS awards.
BASIS continues to grow and now boasts a community of over 2000 including representatives from a large percentage of UK sports. It continues to support sports clubs, venues and governing bodies with advice on sustainability, providing a recognised framework, training, certification, sharing platform and continuing to be a leading voice in the UK on sustainability in sport.

“The benefits of different organisations sharing ideas, best practice and solutions are huge, and our awards gives the sector a terrific opportunity to share and celebrate these.”
The application process is now open and will close on 29th September 2023. No project is too big or too small to be accepted for submission. Winners and runner ups will also be given the opportunity to present a case study on their project at future BASIS webinars, with relevant content also added onto the BASIS website.
Awards will be given for the best sustainable initiatives that show innovation, impact and performance. Submissions are accepted both for an organisation as a whole, and for individuals within an organisation – with multiple submissions gladly received.
BASIS members have all received a FREE ticket to attend the event. Ticket sales are now open but numbers are limited and can be purchased via the BASIS website.
