The BASIS Awards are a celebration of sustainability in sport, shining a spotlight on the people, projects and partnerships leading the charge for climate action, innovation, and sustainability across the sector.
From grassroots clubs to national governing bodies, innovative technologies to collaborative partnerships, the BASIS awards celebrate those delivering meaningful change. More than just recognising achievement, we aim to showcase practical solutions, inspire fresh ideas, and help accelerate progress towards a more sustainable future for everyone.
This is your opportunity to share your initiatives, celebrate your impact and achievements, and inspire others across the sector.
Join us on 5 November 2026 at the iconic All England Lawn Tennis Club, home of the Wimbledon Championships, for a day of celebration, collaboration, and inspiration.

21/9/26 – submissions window closes at 5pm
23/9/26 – early bird ticket sales end
Early October – all entrants will be notified regarding their shortlist status

Categories & Nominations
No project is too big or too small to be accepted for submission and multiple submissions from one individual/organisation are welcomed.
The BASIS awards are free to enter for members and non-members alike.
Our 2026 categories are:
Leadership
Celebrating an organisation or individual that has embedded sustainability into strategy, governance, investment, and decision-making, turning ambition into measurable progress.
Impact
Awarded to a campaign, programme or intervention that has achieved notable, demonstrable environmental or social impact outcomes.
Innovation
Highlighting a new product, service, process or approach that has addressed a sustainability challenge in sport and shown the potential for wider adoption.
Partnership
Celebrating a collaboration that brought together complementary expertise, influence or resources to deliver greater impact than any one organisation could have achieved alone.
Community
Recognising initiatives that have used sustainability to strengthen communities, widen participation, reduce inequalities or improve the spaces where people live and play.
Nature
Honouring projects that protect, restore or enhance nature and biodiversity through sport’s land, facilities, operations or wider influence.
Adaptation
Celebrating organisations or projects taking practical steps to prepare sport for a changing climate, safeguarding people, facilities, competitions, communities and long-term resilience.
Changemaker
Recognising an individual – whether an emerging talent or an established pro – whose passion, leadership and determination are driving sustainability progress across sport.

As with our submissions we welcome both members and non-members to join us at the Awards.
All full BASIS member organisations have access to one free ticket, alongside preferential pricing on additional tickets and full table bookings. Members must be logged into their BASIS account to access this.
