BASIS Conference 2022

BASIS Annual Conference, 17th May 2022 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

In May we saw the biggest in-person BASIS gathering for a few years. Judging by the energy and attention in the room it was a very welcome return of the BASIS Annual Conference as 130 delegates came to the Principality Stadium for a day of sustainability and sport.

The conference offered delegates a diverse programme reflecting the scale, scope and complexity of climate change and environmental sustainability, and the challenges and the opportunities for the sport sector. After the hiatus caused by the pandemic, the conference demonstrated to us that BASIS remains the ‘go to’ organisation for sustainability in the sport sector. Our 10-point plan and twelve principles framework lead our strategic direction and provides the focus for topical and insightful programmes and services for our growing community.
