The Carbon Literacy Sports Kit provides the sector with bespoke training to raise awareness of greenhouse gas emissions and their role in climate change and, importantly, what you can do about it.
Do not miss out on the extra 20% discount we have applied for this months course for members.
In five modules delivered across two half day online sessions, attendees will learn about:
- the basics of climate change science, the evidence for climate change and the impacts of climate change
- issues around equity and vulnerability, local impacts and the impacts on sport
- the co-benefits of taking climate action, the current policy position and the influence of the sport sector
- your own individual carbon footprint and organisational carbon footprints
- why action is important, how to talk about climate change to others and how to develop carbon pledges.
This course will run over two consecutive afternoons on the 13th and 14th August 2024 – the booking will cover both dates and attendees need to attend both and complete a short form to be certified Carbon Literate.
In order to pass the course and be deemed Carbon Literate, you will be required to complete an evidence form. This will be checked by BASIS before being sent to the Carbon Literacy Trust for verification and issuing of your certificate. This process is included in the course fee. Should you have to resubmit for any reason, an additional fee will be required to cover the cost of this.
The course will run with a minimum of 8 people.
The price includes VAT.
