BASIS (the British Association for Sustainable Sport) is a not-for profit organisation that helps organisations across sport become more environmentally sustainable, and harnesses the power of sport to build a more sustainable world.

OVERVIEW
We are searching for a driven and capable operations and communications coordinator. The role will be an essential part of BASIS’ small but growing team, helping to:
- Â Â Â Deliver services to members
- Â Â Â Deliver high quality events
- Â Â Â Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation
- Â Â Â Deliver regular, effective external communications
DETAIL
OPERATIONS
- Management of pre- and post-event administration including, Webinars, Board Meetings, Member Visits
- Coordination of our major events, including our Annual Conference and Sustainable Sport Awards (working with other members of the team)
- Systems coordination: managing our CRM database, ensuring our data is up-to-date, our systems are integrated, and our work is compliant with data protection standards
- Processing of invoice and payments
- Assisting with support for existing members and partners, alongside the applications and onboarding of new members and partners.
COMMUNICATION
- Â Â Management of regular social media posts (largely X & LinkedIn)
- Â Â Delivering regular website updates
- Â Â Monitoring and coordination of responses to website inquiries
From time to time, the Operations and Communications Coordinator will be required to cover the responsibilities of other Team Members (e.g. when on leave).
As BASIS is at a critical point in its development as an organisation, there will be significant opportunity for future growth, both within and beyond this role. The core responsibilities outlined are a starting point, reflecting the basic functions we need to cover, but we are looking for somebody who is hungry, ambitious and keen to grow.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will be a competent administrator, with experience of platforms and programmes including Excel, HubSpot (or other CRM systems), Zoom and WordPress.
We will be looking for candidates to demonstrate the ability to plan, organise and deliver tasks and logistics.
We will also be looking for someone who has sound experience of using social media, especially X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn, who has a keen eye for a good message and a desire to enhance their experience of strategic communications. Experience with Canva would be an advantage.Â
Experience in either (or both) sport and sustainability is desirable, but an obvious passion for both is more important.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & TERMS
- We work remotely, with online team meetings taking places throughout the week and opportunities to come together several times a year
- From time to time the post-holder will be required to travel, especially to attend and help deliver BASIS events (6-10 times per year)
- This role will receive an initial salary of £24-28,000 per year, plus pension – although as BASIS continues to grow, we aim to increase this salary.Â
- We envisage this role being a full time role, but we are open to proposals from candidates who feel they can fulfil these responsibilities on a part time basis, or as part of a job share. Either way, we offer maximum scope for flexible working.
- The role is subject to a four-month probation period, measured on performance against agreed goals. Â
