Peter Smith

Peter is Head of Change and Sustainability at Bristol Sport, a stable of professional sports clubs including Bristol Bears RFC, Bristol City FC and Bristol Flyers Basketball Club.  Their group-wide sustainability strategy included the clubs signing the UN Sports for Climate Action Framework with Race to Zero targets.

Having previously worked in international event management, Peter joined Bristol City in 2009. He worked in commercial partnerships and player recruitment before becoming Stadium Redevelopment Project Manager for the £45m rebuild of Ashton Gate. Peter is passionate about mainstreaming ambitious and rapid change within sport sustainability and believes the sector is uniquely placed to disseminate that across society.
