Having been in operation since 2007 with a clear objective of being the most sustainable washroom services company, HSG UK has grown to become The Sustainable Washroom Experts, and we are always striving to improve ourselves and our partners to benefit the environment.
We provide comprehensive washroom services and a unique portfolio of water-saving and maintenance-reducing products for the washroom. Beyond this, we are leading the charge in our internal sustainability practices. We are closing in on our target to be carbon neutral through the internationally recognised PAS 2060 accreditation by 2024. Furthermore, our Carbon Reduction Plan details our intent to become net zero by 2044, which is six years ahead of the government guideline.
Our sustainability expertise was channelled into championing the Queen’s Award-winning Ureco System. The system is comprised of the Ureco urinal sleeve and Uretech water manager and is trusted by thousands of partners across the United Kingdom. The Ureco hosts 35 billion bio-enzymes in the bio-cap, and each time the urinal is used, a small number of these bio-enzymes enter the pipework. These bio-enzymes are engineered to prevent uric scale build-up, which eradicates washroom-related maintenance callouts, such as blockages and odours.
The absence of scale build-up means significantly less water is required to keep the pipework clear, which is where the Uretech water manager comes in. The Uretech reduces daily flushes from the industry standard of 96 per day – which is every 15 minutes – to just 4 flushes per day. This equates to a yearly reduction in water consumption of 315,000 litres. This allows Ureco to often provide a rapid return on investment, thanks to the significantly reduced water costs.

Thanks to our expertise, we provide a robust reporting structure that provides organisations with a litre-perfect water-saving report, using data from the intelligent Uretech water manager. This provides our partners with the ability to more accurately reach their own sustainability targets.
