Enabling ‘changes to our lifestyles and behaviour can result in a 40-70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050’. IPCC Working Group III Co-Chair Priyadarshi Shukla
Sport’s potential reach and characteristics make it a unique platform from which to initiate and support change. Its reach means that the emissions savings of in-house measures are far exceeded by those generated by engaging fans. So whilst in-house measures are absolutely key, bringing fans on this journey alongside sports bodies significantly increases impact.
This workshop will focus on the characteristics and practicalities of fan engagement on environmental sustainability.
Pledgeball founder, Katie Cross, research and development consultant, Jenny Amann, and research fellow and expert on football fandom and mobilising football fans, Dr Mark Doidge, will draw upon literary and primary research as well as extensive experience of practical implementation.
Registration for this workshop is now closed and the workshop is fully subscribed.
