With over 15 years in the Sports industry across rugby and golf, Maria’s focus shifted from the partnerships and commercial world, to sustainability and impact in 2021, developing the European Tour group and Ryder Cup Europe’s “Golf for Good” strategies. This focuses on tackling social and environmental challenges within the golf industry through G4D (Golf for the Disabled), community impact and the award winning Green Drive, steering the Tour to become the first professional golf Tour to join the UN Sports for Nature and Climate Action Frameworks with a commitment of net zero by 2040.
