Fresh from the news that BBC Sport will be official media partner for the BASIS Conference at Emirates Old Trafford next month, BASIS today confirms Qasa Alom as the conference host.
As the presenter of the BBC’s iconic Today at Wimbledon, along with The Travel Show, Qasa combines his role as an established broadcaster working on landmark including such as the Commonwealth Games, the London Marathon and several General Elections, with a deep passion for environmental sustainability.
He has hosted the BBC Green Sport Awards, and has presented programmes for The Climate Question, Costing the Earth and chairing panels for the UN at COP 26 & COP 27.
Qasa will oversee the flow and interactions of a conference featuring stellar speakers including UK Sport’s Dame Katherine Grainger and Sport England’s Chris Boardman – as well as top-level contributors from the ATP Tour, UEFA, The EFL, The R&A, England Golf – with an engaged audience of more than 200 delegates from across the UK’s sport and sustainability sectors.
With six weeks to go until the conference, Qasa said:

The BASIS Conference will take place on 29-30 April at Emirates Old Trafford in Greater Manchester.
