- PDQ Cycle coaching used their Accelerate grant to purchase Tyvek plastic reusable numbers to reduce their use of single-use paper numbers.
Â
- The grant was also used to ensure electronic provision of results and race programmes could be given reducing further single-use paper.
We would like to continue using reusable numbers. We would like to encourage active transport to events also.
PDQ Cycle Coaching committed to their sustainable event goals by:
- Communicating their commitment to sustainability within all event details
- Not using any paper or printed materials by delivering results electronically
- Only using materials and products produced locally and by companies with a similar ethos focussed on ESG credentials
- Encouraging riders to bring their own reusable cups to eliminate paper cups
- Promote the benefits of sustainable food sourcing when talking about nutrition
- Promoting social sustainability by using a local community venue for the sessions and encouraging local riders
