We are thrilled to announce the new BASIS Mentorship Programme—a new network of support and best practice—which seeks to facilitate mentorship by BASIS members, for BASIS members.
With a broad and varied range of experience and working backgrounds within our membership, we’ve designed the programme to help our members capitalise on shared experiences and support each other.
People come to sustainability in different ways, and sustainability leads within our membership range from subject experts to those without a sustainability background who have it added to their existing role. We’re building the programme in recognition that, whatever the journey, our destination is the same and we can help each other reach it.
Many of our members are facing similar challenges: energy, waste, water, procurement, and so much more. As a team, we do our best to support members across every sustainability priority, but at its best BASIS is a community, and part of our purpose is to help members connect with each other – and there is so much knowledge and experience within our network that these connections can make a real difference.
We are excited to be able to further assist those joining the programme by offering free mentoring training to new mentors in order to help them develop their skills in this area.
With the scheme now launched the initial priority is to invite expressions of interest from both mentors and mentees, which can be submitted to our Member Engagement Manager, Caroline.
